Cornelian Cherry Dogwood
Cornus mas

The Cornelian cherry dogwood, is a vigorous deciduous shrub or small tree. The yellow flowers are produced in early spring before the leaves which are dark green, turning purple in the autumn. The bright red edible fruits are produced in late summer.
Maturing at about 15' tall by 20' wide. Shape is upright rounded to
upright spreading growth habit, either multi-trunked or single-trunked and
branching low to the ground. May be pruned to keep shape. Most often
grown as a shrub, border, or hedge. Easily trained to tree form.
