Genista Bangle™

Genista lydia Dyers Greenwood Bangle® 'Select'
 

A floriferous, low mounding selection of Genista that produces waves of electric yellow flowers in early spring. Improved branching and texture make this a wonderful plant for containers and for mass plantings. Bangle has an interesting texture and is incredibly showy in the landscapes, especially when in bloom.

Better Homes and Gardens listed 'Bangle' as one of 18 Best New Trees and Shrubs of 2008.

Electric yellow flowers in late spring. Great en masse for the spring garden. Little care is needed but may be trimmed after flowering. Excellent texture. Deer resistant. Drought and heat tolerant.

Hardy Temp:  -30°F (-34°C) Zones 4-8

Uses:  Groundcover, container, mass planting, border, rock gardens, to cascade over a wall. This is a very interesting addition to perennial gardens or along the edge of mixed borders. It has a fantastic texture even when not in bloom.

Growing Tips:  Pruning to shape after flowering. You may need to trim back some branches with tip die-back after harsh winters. Once established, survives in drought and heat very well.
