Red Splendor Crab Apple
Malus 'Red Splendor'

Red splendor crab is a moderately fast growing small tree that has showy pink
spring flowers and small edible fall fruit, which provide excellent food for
wildlife throughout the winter. It can reach heights of 20-30', is intolerant of
shade and drought and grows in a variety of soils.
Excellent choice for wildlife Food & Cover. Good bird cover for
nesting and perching.
This tree holds it's apples well providing a winter food supply for birds and
other wildlife.
The flowers are pink, fading to white, and very fragrant. The attractive
flowers resemble the common apple bloom. The Spring bloom will really
scent the May landscape.
Fruit is greenish and ripens in September. The fruit is about 1/2" in diameter and can be used to make crabapple jelly.
