American Cranberry Viburnum
Viburnum trilobum
Deciduous shrub, 8-12 ft high with a similar spread,
upright, spreading, round topped, arching branches. Fall color ranges from
yellow to red-purple. Flowers white, in flat-topped clusters , those in the
outer ring are quite showy The inner ones are inconspicuous, with yellow
anthers. Fruit is scarlet red in fall. Important winter food for wildlife.
Very hardy, easy to grow and care for. Minimal maintenance.
Sun to part shade, best in good, well-drained, moist soil.
Hardy to USDA Zone 2
NOTE: This is NOT like the cranberries you buy in the store. That is a completely different plant.
