This aromatic herb has long-lasting purple flowers on spikes. Leaves and seeds are aromatic, with a sweet licorice-mint flavor.
Leaves, flowers, and seeds can be used fresh or dried for salads, teas, and garnishes.
Leaves and flowering tops are energizing and cooling.

Commonly used in baked goods and desserts. For something unique, add a few
dried flower heads to a sugar bowl.
There is a strong demand in the dried flower trade for anise hyssop, and some demand in the herb tea market.
