August Lily Hosta

This hosta has been in cultivation for over 150 years, yet is getting very hard to come by. Considered the most fragrant of all Hostas with huge, pure white 5 inch blooms opening in late summer to perfume warm summer nights. Shiny green leaves form plants 2 to 3 feet wide and 24 inches tall. A bright, warm location with little or no direct sun produces the most flowers.  Even though it has been around for so long, it is rarely offered for sale! Will tolerate full sun in northern zones with adequate moisture.

 

Container grown in gallon pots.  2-3 "eye" minimum.  Sent bare to semi-bare root depending on season.
