Prefers partial shade or partial sun to full sun.

Catkins in Spring are a bright golden-yellow.  Sometimes called Gold Pussy Willow.
Soil should be moist to wet.  Likes wet soils.  Keep away from septic tanks and fields.  They really like that water! Can be grown as a large shrub or a medium-to-large tree.  Fast growing and can actually "dry-up" wet spots in the landscape.  Very hardy and trouble free.
