Brandywine™ Viburnum
Viburnum BRANDYWINE™ 'Bulk ™' PPAF

Experience the most beautiful berry display in the plant kingdom with this new Viburnum from noted plantsman Mark Bulk. It delivers loads of breathtaking berries that transform from green to shades of vivid pink and blue. A great companion for ‘Winterthur’ because planting two Viburnum nudum in close proximity results in bumper crops of berries. Showy glossy leaves change to incredible dark maroon-red in autumn.
Full sun to part sun.

Provides food and cover for a number of birds including ruffed grouse and hermit thrush.

Growing Tips
Fruit production is increased by having another cultivar of nudum near by to
cross pollinate the flowers. Prefers well drained soil but adapts well to a variety of
soils. Withstands high pH, heavy soils and vagaries of climate. Pruning is best done
immediately after flowering, buds form the summer prior to blooming. Medium
moisture. Deciduous shrub. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release
fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for the
recommended rate of application.
Uses
Makes a great hedge or foundation planting, excellent for residential
landscapes. Also good in groupings, masses, and as a filler in the shrub border,
good as a screen and for use in parking lots.
Features
Creamy white flowers appear in summer followed by bright berries which
appear in late summer. Attractive to birds and other wildlife. NOTE:
Berries are NOT edible!!
