Also known as Appalachian Stonecrop.  Native to the Appalachian mountains.

cliff stonecrop

This Sedum forms a low, non-spreading clump of light-green leaves. Short sprays of starry white flowers appear in early summer.  Native to the Appalachian mountains, this grows naturally on lightly shaded limestone outcrops where it is regularly damp but very well-drained.

Useful for groundcover, rock gardens, border edging, containers, and alpine gardens.  Takes light foot traffic.  Not for soggy conditions.  Soil must be well drained.

Hardy zones 4-9.  Light shade recommended in more southern zones.  Evergreen.

Height:  3-4" when in bloom.  Otherwise, 2"

Spread:  6-8"
