Green Giant Arborvitae 

See Spring GroveŽ for a similar growth pattern, but more uniform

Thuja plicata 'green giant'

 

With the same look and habit of American arborvitae (above), but much faster growth.  Not quite as north-hardy as regular American arborvitae, but will grow further south.  Hardy zones 5-9.

Height of 50 to 75 feet with a spread of 10 to 20 feet.

Good choice for a fast growing evergreen hedge, screen, or windbreak.  Dense, rich green foliage with a fern-like texture.  May also be sheared for a formal look.
