Hardy Thornless Blackberry

Very hardy Thornless blackberries that have withstood -25 degrees below zero without any protection or snow cover! Large berries.........Most about the size of a quarter or larger........But.......We have had some the size of ping-pong balls!
Heavy bearing, upright plants with minimal suckering.

Zones 5-8.
This is a variety that was handed down to us. The actual variety name is unknown. Resembles Arapaho in habit, but has larger fruit.
Blackberry plants in the nursery.
Container grown in gallon pots. No wimpy field dug plants here! Available spring and fall (Fall shipments to Zones 6-8 only) shipped semi-bare root (SBR) if dormant. Shipped out of pot with root ball wrapped if in active growth.
Note: This is an un-named heirloom variety that was handed down over the generations in our family.

Named Varieties
Arapaho: Thornless. From the University of Arkansas. Self supporting and does not need a trellis. Sweet flavor, medium size, firm fruit and heavy production. Ripens early in a concentrated set. Also produces sucker plants which allow it to quickly establish a solid hedge row of plants.
