Help Wanted for 2008 Season
Seasonal Part Time, Three Positions
Moonshine Designs Nursery is a grower and shipper of trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs, seeds, and specialty plants. For the 2008 season, we have the following positions open:

Part time. Greenhouse worker, seasonal
Duties include basic propagation, potting up, organization, watering, pulling orders for shipment, etc. Crops include perennials, herbs, and seedlings of trees and shrubs. Flexible hours. Good position for student or retired person. Experience helpful, but not required. Will train. Must have own transportation. Average 20 hours or less per week. Minimum age is 15 with work permit. Position starts in early April.
Part time. Nursery Worker, seasonal.
Duties include potting up bare root and potted liners into one gallon through 5 gallon containers, placing in nursery, organization of nursery space, basic pruning, pesticide application when warranted, spot weeding, scouting for pests, pulling orders, preparing for shipping, assisting with shipping. Must have organizational skills. Experience helpful in planting, weeding, etc. Must have own transportation. Repetitive bending and lifting involved of 25 lbs. Or less. Minimum age is 15 with work permit. Somewhat flexible hours. Sunday and Monday required. Average 20-40 hours per week depending on seasonal load. Position starts April, weather permitting.
Part time. Nursery worker/shipping/receiving, seasonal.
Duties include potting up bare root and potted liners into one gallon through 5 gallon containers, placing in nursery, organization of nursery space. Receiving and checking count on incoming shipments. Unpacking, stocking tags, etc. Shipping and packing of orders out going. Prep of shipment materials, assembly of cartons, printing and application of shipping labels. Database entry. Clean up of shipping building. Inventory management.
Basic computer skills required. Applicant must be reliable, self motivated and organized. Must have own transportation. Minimum age for this position is 18. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. On occasion. Experience in the greenhouse and nursery business helpful. 20-40 hours per week. May be limited overtime in peak season. Days required: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Other days are flexible. Position starts in March with training and runs to November. May develop into full time position for the right person. March thru June is our peak season.
