Lawrence Flatman Hardy Geranium
Geranium cinereum

A compact & less sprawling variety than most hardy geranium
species. Begins flowering in late Spring & continues all summer well into
autumn.
'Lawrence Flatman' is an intra-species hybrid, crossing
Geranium. cinereum
cinereum X
Geranium cinereum
subcaulescens. The blooms are a rich two-shade of rich lilac-pink, with
deep magenta veins, and a dark eye.
Introduced by Blooms of Bressingham in 1979 and still very sought after
Likes sunny to partially shaded and well drained locations. Does not
tolerate soggy soils and blooms best in full sun. Somewhat drought
tolerant once established. Dislikes heavy clay.
Useful for container gardening as well as the perennial bed. Right at home in the rock garden, too! Apart from its drainage requirement it is not fussy as to soil condition or pH, being very adaptable.
