Midnight Wine® Weigela
Weigela Florida 'midnight wine'
Color Choice®!!
A low-mounding, dwarf version of Wine & Roses®. Don't pass this one up! Season long color provided by it's dark purple foliage and rosy-pink flowers. Full sun will give the best foliage color. Masses of blooms in the spring followed by periodic reblooms during the summer and fall. Very neat, no wild growth
Hardy zones 4-8
Height 18-24", spread about the same. May be pruned to shape.
Excellent for the front of the border, perennial beds, and as specimen plants. Trouble free, well behaved plant.
Our plants are container grown in #1 (gallon) pots and are well branched and developed. Some are blooming in the nursery.
Plant now for a shower of blooms in the spring. Hummingbirds love these flowers!
