These are very drought hardy and are great in clumps in borders, containers, and rock gardens.
A very common but great looking grass.
Plant 6-12” apart and mulch to prevent weed growth. Divide every two-three years.
Gallon size clumps can be cut into four to eight “starts”. Keep well watered until established.
Once established it is very drought tolerant!
Division every three years or so will maintain appearance.
This grass is non-invasive.

Love Grass eragrostis trichodes
Also known as 'Sand Love Grass'
A cool season, clumping grass with medium green foliage growing 1-2 ft. tall and spreading 18-24 inches wide. Bears large, nodding panicles that almost obscure the foliage throughout the summer.
Prefers full sun and is somewhat drought tolerant once established. Plant 18-24" apart. Looks great in groups of three. May be divided to make more plants.
This grass is non-invasive.
