Physocarpus opulifolius 'Seward'
A cool new purple ninebark hybrid that resulted from a cross
between Physocarpus o. 'Nana' and Diabolo®
Attractive wine colored foliage and a dense, compact habit. While it is a strong
grower, it is never leggy or out of control.
Use it next to yellow and bright green plants, or against a light background to
get the best effect. Add color and vibrancy to any garden, especially in the
spring when it blooms with white button-like blooms.
This is a dramatic improvement over existing cultivars.
USDA Zone 3-8
Size: 4 to 6 feet high and wide with age.
