Weeping Pussy Willow
Salix caprea 'Kilmarnock'
This is an ornamental pussy willow grafted onto a 'standard'. Branches arch straight down making a beautiful display in all seasons.

USDA Hardiness Zones 4 through 8.
Delightful small weeping tree! In early spring the branches are covered with large, fluffy, silvery catkins which are studded with golden anthers.
Ideal for tubs or patios!
This is a graceful, pendulous form of pussy willow with arching branches, grafted to reach 4 to 8 feet in height. Excellent choice as an accent by a deck, patio, or pond. Easy to manage and looks good through all four seasons.
Prefers full sun to partial shade. Does not like dry soils.

Pruning: Prune off any undesirable branches. Trim ends of branches to keep them off of the ground. Remove promptly any shoots that form below the graft point.
Why they cost so much: These trees are produced by top grafting which in its self is a time consuming activity. They are then grown for a period of 1-4 years before being marketed.
